A Amazon Web Services Case Study
Idomoo, founded in 2007, offers a Video-as-a-Service platform that automatically generates personalized, data-driven videos at scale. Initially hosting a few owned servers with a third-party provider, the company faced growing customer demands for higher performance, better scalability, stronger security and legal compliance, and needed GPU capability to support large-scale video rendering.
Idomoo migrated its end-to-end video production and delivery stack to AWS, using GPU-backed instances for rendering, CPU instances for database and API layers, Amazon SQS for coordination, and Amazon S3 for storage and distribution, integrated via Java and AWS SDKs. The move delivered dramatic improvements: up to 30× faster video generation, up to 8× lower generation costs, reduced monitoring workload, inexpensive storage of millions of videos, and the ability to meet data-residency and security requirements for Tier 1 customers.
