How sound-experience company Sonos streamlined its wide area network infrastructure using AWS Cloud WAN

Sonos needed a better way to scale access to telemetry and product data as its catalog grew, while reducing the operational burden of managing infrastructure and index maintenance. With most of its pipelines already on Amazon Web Services, Sonos chose Amazon OpenSearch Service to simplify how it stores, searches, and scales data.

Using Amazon Web Services, Sonos implemented automated index lifecycle management, tiered storage, Amazon CloudWatch dashboards and alerts, AWS Lambda, and Amazon OpenSearch Ingestion to automate processing and improve visibility. The result was a 90% reduction in operational overhead, stronger system reliability, lower storage costs, and more engineering time freed up for innovation.
