How Instituto de Ingenieria del Conocimiento delivers AI-powered predictions at scale using AWS serverless technologies

Instituto de Ingenieria del Conocimiento (IIC) needed to modernize its monolithic on-premises EA3 system so it could process more diverse data sources and improve AI predictions for energy clients. Using Amazon Web Services, IIC moved to a serverless approach with AWS Lambda, Amazon SNS, Amazon SQS, and other AWS services to support scalable data handling and integration.

Amazon Web Services implemented an event-driven architecture that enabled flexible data exchange, asynchronous processing, and easier integration with external systems and sources like weather forecasts and power plant variables. As a result, IIC increased EA3’s AI prediction accuracy by 30% and cut tracing and monitoring time by 90%, while continuing to evolve the platform on AWS.
