Honda Migrates Content Delivery Network to Amazon CloudFront, Optimizing Costs and Performance

Honda, which had been using a different content delivery network for years, faced a complex migration with legacy settings tied to its previous provider. To modernize its CDN while maintaining strict quality standards, Honda worked with Amazon Web Services and Amazon CloudFront, with support from an AWS Partner and features like Lambda@Edge and Amazon Route 53 to handle customization and DNS routing.

Amazon Web Services helped Honda complete testing and migration over about six months, including planning, proof of concept, performance testing, and cutover. As a result, Honda improved performance, availability, reliability, and scalability, while reducing infrastructure management time and optimizing costs for both content delivery and website hosting servers.
