Global Unichip Corporation (GUC), a Taiwan-based ASIC designer working on increasingly complex, mission-critical chips, needed a way to improve reliability and quality at scale as its products grew more advanced. GUC turned to Amazon Web Services and AWS Partner proteanTecs to gain better visibility into silicon behavior and help prevent failures in the field.

Amazon Web Services enabled proteanTecs to run its analytics and telemetry platform on AWS, using services like Amazon EC2 Spot Instances, Amazon RDS, and Amazon VPC. The solution combined embedded chip telemetry with predictive AI to detect degrading lines, replace them with redundant ones during maintenance, and repair issues without downtime—helping GUC extend ASIC lifecycle, avoid costly system failures, and achieve better reliability and quality at scale.
