Helen of Troy wanted to improve the customer experience for its connected healthcare products by collecting and analyzing temperature data from Bluetooth-capable devices. Using Amazon Web Services products such as AWS IoT Core and Amazon S3, along with the Braun Family Care app, the company built a cloud-based solution to better understand how customers use its smart thermometers and other devices.

With Amazon Web Services and AWS Professional Services, Helen of Troy created a framework for near real-time data delivery and analysis, helping identify useful features, spot potentially inaccurate readings, and support remote updates. The solution reduced development time and complexity, improved innovation decisions, and is helping Helen of Troy expand the app to new products and regions, including work toward EU regulatory compliance.
