FieldCore, a global industrial field services company and GE business, needed a cost-effective way to move its operations to the cloud and support them around the clock without enough in-house cloud operations staff. It turned to Amazon Web Services, using AWS Managed Services (AMS) and AMS Accelerate to extend its team’s capabilities while focusing more on business objectives and innovation.

Amazon Web Services implemented automated cloud operations with AWS CloudFormation, giving FieldCore 24/7/365 monitoring, incident management, security, patching, backup, and cost optimization support. The results included cutting patching cycle time by more than 50%, proactively remediating 55% of security cases, improving compliance above 90%, and saving 10% by rightsizing Amazon EC2 instances plus 21% by moving from gp2 to gp3 storage volumes.
