Expedia Group Scales Database-as-a-Service Platform Using AWS Service Catalog

Using Amazon Web Services, specifically AWS Service Catalog and related services, the company’s Cerebro DBaaS platform had to support multiple database types while giving developers a faster, more seamless deployment experience.

Amazon Web Services helped Expedia Group scale Cerebro from 3 AWS accounts to more than 400, while automating network setup, monitoring, security, and remediation with AWS CloudFormation, AWS Systems Manager, and Amazon SNS. The result was database deployment time cut from days to just minutes, stronger governance and cost visibility, and less manual troubleshooting work for support teams.
