After the 2010 merger of two societies, the company faced the challenge of consolidating heterogeneous, legacy policy and financial systems while meeting rising online demand, tighter SLAs from aggregators, and strict regulatory and data‑security requirements.

Exeter migrated its core systems to AWS with support from Solutions Architects, running production, test/dev and support environments across three Amazon VPCs and using EC2, Windows/SQL Server, Elastic Load Balancing, Direct Connect, S3/Glacier, WorkSpaces, IAM and CloudTrail.
