EnerAllies - Customer Case Study

EnerAllies is a Silicon Valley company that provides software-centric energy management for small-format, multisite enterprises—especially restaurant and retail brands like Panera Bread and Pizza Hut—promising up to 30% HVAC energy savings, lower repair costs, and the industry’s lowest TCO. The company needed a robust, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure to reliably connect and control a rapidly growing network of IoT thermostats and devices, deliver real-time control and monitoring, and process massive datasets for machine learning and analytics.

Working with AWS Advanced Consulting Partner Cambridge Technology, EnerAllies re-architected its Virtual Energy Manager to run on AWS IoT and adopted services such as EC2, Aurora, Kinesis, Redshift, DynamoDB, and Amazon Machine Learning. The new platform provides scalable, low-latency device connectivity, real-time dashboards and alerts, and predictive maintenance and optimization—enabling rapid scaling to hundreds of thousands of devices while delivering predictive alerts, improved comfort and uptime, and the cost and performance benefits behind EnerAllies’ claims of up to 30% savings, 2x lower TCO, and a 6–12 month payback.
