DSM Accelerates Development to Deliver 150+ Apps Using Mendix Low-Code Software on AWS

DSM-firmenich needed to modernize legacy projects and speed up application development, so it turned to Mendix low-code software on Amazon Web Services (AWS). With a growing need to simplify app creation and automate internal and customer-facing processes, the company wanted a cloud-native approach that would let teams deploy and scale apps quickly without heavy manual effort.

Using Mendix together with Amazon Web Services, DSM-firmenich built a CI/CD pipeline to deploy around 150 applications to Amazon VPC and extended functionality with AWS services such as Amazon S3 and AWS Lambda. The result was major efficiency gains: the company says teams develop applications five times faster than with traditional SAP methods, can spin up new apps in minutes, and have created a simpler, less expensive application lifecycle overall.
