Deutsche Börse Manages Assets Across Cloud Providers and Maintains Compliance Using AWS Config

Deutsche Börse Group needed a better way to manage assets across multiple cloud providers and maintain security compliance, since its previous system only shared information the next day and required teams to check separate cloud accounts. Using Amazon Web Services, specifically AWS Config along with Amazon SQS and AWS Lambda, the company set out to simplify cloud asset management and improve visibility across its AWS, other cloud, and on-premises environments.

Amazon Web Services implemented a solution centered on AWS Config to continuously monitor and audit resource compliance, store configuration history, and feed data into Deutsche Börse Group’s asset management UI through API Gateway and Lambda. The result was a near-real-time, consolidated view of all assets, faster identification of assets and owners, and easier compliance checks; the company also uses AWS Config to verify mandatory tagging for billing and regulatory ownership purposes.
