Democratizing Knowledge with an Innovative Virtual Assistant Using AWS with Empolis

Empolis, a German AI software company, wanted to extend its cloud-based knowledge-management SaaS offerings with generative AI. Working with Amazon Web Services and its customer KUKA, Empolis explored a proof of concept for an AI assistant to improve access to product information and support faster decision-making.

Amazon Web Services helped Empolis build the solution with Amazon Bedrock. The resulting virtual assistant, Empolis Buddy, can search and query millions of documents, including operating procedures and manufacturing manuals, helping users learn about machinery, troubleshoot issues faster, and prevent operational problems.
