Deluxe Media Inc. Processes over 150,000 Assets per Month Using AWS Batch

Deluxe Media Inc. needed a more scalable way to orchestrate thousands of batch jobs each month for its Deluxe One media workflow, including demanding tasks like DRM encryption. Using Amazon Web Services, specifically AWS Batch, the company wanted to overcome stability limits, handle growing asset volumes, and improve performance without increasing operational complexity.

Amazon Web Services implemented AWS Batch with optimized job queues and compute environments, along with services like Amazon EBS, Amazon S3, and EC2 Spot Instances. The results were significant: Deluxe increased its vCPU cap from 400 to 2000, cut pipeline error rates by 50% to about 1%, reduced compute costs by thousands of dollars per month, and scaled down from 2000 vCPUs to zero in 5 minutes, enabling faster growth and more reliable service for customers.
