CSRA, a leading federal IT services firm created from a 2015 spin-off and merger, needed to stand up an entirely new IT platform to support more than 40 critical business applications and 15,000 employees on an aggressive four-month timeline. The company also had to meet strict regulatory requirements for customer data, including FedRAMP and ITAR, but lacked the time and budget to build its own infrastructure.

CSRA moved its workloads to AWS GovCloud (US) with design and configuration support from RACEMI and AWS Professional Services, migrating 400 TB of data and running the new platform across 250 EC2 instances with S3 storage. The team met the deadline, achieved FedRAMP/ITAR-aligned compliance, and gained on-demand scalability, hybrid flexibility, and cost savings—and is now focused on further cloud optimization.
