Creditsafe Cuts Technology Administration Burden, Builds for Future Success Using AWS

Creditsafe, a global business credit checking company with a massive database spanning more than 320 million businesses, was spending too much time and effort maintaining large, complex on-premises systems. To support growth and improve scalability, reliability, and availability, it migrated its data and customer-facing services to Amazon Web Services, using services such as Amazon EC2, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon S3, along with the AWS Migration Acceleration Program.

With help from Amazon Web Services and partner Cognizant, Creditsafe began by moving its UK data acquisition operations and feeding provider data natively into Amazon Redshift for analysis and storage. The migration reduced the burden of managing multiple servers, improved data transparency and resilience, and put about 20% of its systems into the cloud in the first phase, while setting the company up to focus more on innovation and future AI and machine learning initiatives.
