Corte dei conti - Customer Case Study

Corte dei conti (Cdc), Italy’s Court of Auditors, needed to modernize IT to support its 3,000+ employees while preserving strict security and maximizing prior Citrix investments. The organization wanted to reduce time spent managing physical hardware, enable secure remote access from any device, and cut IT costs without compromising compliance.

Working with AWS and partner XPeppers, Cdc deployed a hybrid-cloud VDI using Amazon WorkSpaces, 25 scheduled EC2 instances orchestrated by AWS Lambda, dedicated VPCs with VPNs, and IAM/CloudWatch for security and monitoring. The rollout (250 users so far, expanding to all regions) improved remote productivity and service quality, increased confidence in security and compliance, simplified IT management, avoided €40,000 in hardware costs, reduced energy use, and set the stage for broader cloud migration and disaster recovery.
