Comba Telecom, a Hong Kong–headquartered provider of wireless communications solutions with offices across Asia‑Pacific, the Americas, Europe and the Middle East, relied on SAP Business One to standardize global financial reporting. Remote users outside Hong Kong experienced unacceptable access delays—sometimes over 400 ms—hindering productivity and prompting the need for a faster, more flexible infrastructure.

Comba migrated SAP Business One to AWS, deploying isolated VPCs in the Asia Pacific (Singapore) and São Paulo regions with EC2 instances, EBS storage and VPN connections to Hong Kong. The move reduced typical access times to about 100 ms, cut projected TCO by ~40% versus building overseas infrastructure, completed in five months using only 16% of planned capex, and enabled faster testing and plans to migrate additional services to AWS.
