Club Automation - Customer Case Study

Club Automation is a Chicago-based SaaS provider of ERP software for health and fitness clubs that needed to support rapid, word-of-mouth–driven growth while protecting cardholder data. The company was constrained by a legacy hybrid-cloud setup that required costly overprovisioning and slow security deployments, and it needed PCI-compliant controls and greater agility to roll out new apps and features without compromising performance or customer experience.

Club Automation migrated its SaaS workloads to AWS—using EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, Aurora, VPC, and CloudFormation—and deployed Barracuda NextGen Firewalls purchased through AWS Marketplace to secure its environment. The move cut firewall provisioning to under 15 minutes, enabled 30–40% faster deployments, delivered on-demand scalability, protected cardholder data, and made possible new offerings (like branded mobile apps); the company is now positioned for major growth and plans to move its full production environment to AWS.
