Civix Reimagines the Voter Experience and Modernizes Its Voter Solution Using AWS

Civix, a provider of highly secure election software for state and local governments, was managing nearly 130 code bases across its voter information solutions, making innovation and maintenance difficult as its customer base grew. To rethink its product design and delivery, Civix worked with Amazon Web Services using AWS GovCloud (US) and an Executive Visioning session to address accessibility and modernize the voter experience.

Amazon Web Services then led Civix through a “Working Backwards” process to define voter personas and design a simpler, more accessible solution focused on transparency and access to election information. Civix built the new platform on AWS and launched its first implementation in just 6 months, resulting in IVIS, which unifies state election systems and gives voters access to key resources on smartphones and smart speakers.
