CIC migrated development environments to AWS in 2016 and deployed SAP HANA on AWS in 2018, using Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda and AWS IoT to run applications, store data, and process device events. The move cut IT costs by 30–50%, increased completed IT projects by 40% per year, raised availability to 99.999%, and enabled CIC to build scalable smart‑product and IoT initiatives—transforming IT from a cost center into a driver of business growth.
