CDPHP Modernizes Infrastructure and Improves Ability to Extract Valuable Medical Data on AWS

CDPHP, a healthcare organization, needed a better way to modernize its data infrastructure and extract useful medical data from unstructured records. Working with Amazon Web Services, using services such as Amazon Textract, Amazon Comprehend Medical, and Amazon SageMaker, CDPHP moved away from slow, manual processes and toward an automated, ML-based approach.

With Amazon Web Services, CDPHP built a complete data strategy that normalizes and analyzes medical information across formats, improves data quality, and supports analytics like risk adjustment. The result was major productivity gains: CDPHP processed over seven million historical records during migration, now handles 3,000 electronic health records weekly, and increased HEDIS reporting from one report every 4–5 days to two reports per day, achieving a 60% improvement in overall efficiency.
