Canva Works with AWS Professional Services to Augment Security with Data Lake

Canva partnered with Amazon Web Services Professional Services to strengthen its IT security posture as its data and threat signals grew rapidly. The challenge was finding and investigating suspicious activity across an expanding volume of security logs, while keeping deployment fast and costs under control, using AWS services such as Amazon Kinesis Data Streams.

Amazon Web Services recommended and implemented a cloud-based data lake solution that combined Amazon Elasticsearch Service, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Amazon Athena, AWS Lambda, and Amazon DynamoDB to centralize analysis and automate threat detection. The result was greater visibility and better control for Canva, with the ability to analyze over 50 million logs every day and deliver faster security insights and alerts.
