Fortive needed a more agile, cloud-based network infrastructure to replace its physical WAN dependencies and support growing connectivity demands across sites and regions. Amazon Web Services helped Fortive migrate all three data centers to AWS and automate SD-WAN and VPN connectivity, improving throughput and performance. The results were strong: Fortive cut network service delivery costs by 70%, reduced network incident tickets by 35%, improved mean time to resolution by 50%, and saw about 10x greater throughput, including a 66x perceived speed increase on one Australia-to-San Diego file transfer use case.
