Brooks Brothers - Customer Case Study

Brooks Brothers, a historic U.S. fashion retailer founded in 1818, needed a more agile, cost-effective, and secure way to test and scale new retail initiatives and to run a SAP HANA–based CRM. The company struggled to spin up test environments quickly in its data center, wanted to reduce SAP HANA costs, ensure global scalability, and maintain strong protection for sensitive customer data.

Brooks Brothers migrated its SAP HANA platform to AWS using the SAP HANA Quick Start and CloudFormation, built its CRM and SAP workloads on EC2/EBS with S3 backups, ELB, Direct Connect, IAM, and plans for CloudHSM for higher security. The move cut environment provisioning from weeks to hours, lowered operational and hardware costs, enabled rapid testing and global scale, and delivered robust security—freeing the IT team to focus on business-driving initiatives.
