The bank migrated non-material workloads to AWS using Amazon EC2 and Amazon EMR, then focused on improving the cost and performance of its cloud environment.

With Amazon Web Services, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank moved nonproduction workloads to Amazon EC2 Spot Instances and optimized its Amazon EMR clusters with diversified instance types and Managed Scaling. These changes reduced compute costs by approximately 60%, improved workload resiliency by about 30%, and boosted banking system performance by roughly 20%.
