Bayer Centralizes and Standardizes Data from the Carbon Program Using AWS

Bayer created the PRO Carbon Program to help Brazilian farmers adopt climate-smart practices, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and support carbon-neutral agriculture. Working with seven research partners and multiple data sources, Bayer needed a way to centralize and standardize varied data formats while ensuring secure access and compliance with Brazil’s LGPD data protection law, using Amazon Web Services.

Bayer implemented its data solution on Amazon Web Services to build a scalable, agile data environment that could unify partner information and control access by role. With AWS, Bayer improved data availability and governance across the Carbon Program, enabling better monitoring of global projects and supporting its broader goal of reducing emissions in agriculture by 2030.
