Avoris, part of the Barceló Group, is a major Spanish travel company operating 685 agencies, serving 2.2 million travelers a year and employing nearly 3,000 people. Its on‑premises SAP environment had become a bottleneck—overnight reporting often ran into the working day (delaying staff up to two hours)—and the platform could no longer scale to support growth or provide the required reliability for billing and invoicing.

Avoris partnered with Linke IT to migrate its SAP landscape (including SAP HANA and SAP Hybris) to AWS in a three‑month project, using Amazon EC2, S3, Route 53 and VPC after a successful proof of concept. The move delivered faster nightly processing (more than 50% quicker), cut SAP dialog response time from 1.1s to 468ms (≈57% faster), enabled processing of up to 90,000 invoices, and provided scalable, more cost‑effective infrastructure with reduced management overhead and improved disaster‑recovery reliability.
