Arm Accelerates Speed to Market by Migrating EDA Workflows to AWS Batch

Arm, a global semiconductor company, needed to modernize its electronic design automation (EDA) workflows to speed up verification and support future growth. Before working with Amazon Web Services, engineers faced queue delays and limited compute options, which slowed turnaround times and made it harder to scale workloads efficiently.

Arm implemented a solution on Amazon Web Services using AWS Batch, Amazon EC2, Spot Instances, and AWS Graviton2-based instances to run highly scalable verification jobs. The result was major scale and performance gains: Arm now runs more than 53 million jobs per week, has scaled to 350,000 virtual CPUs across more than 25,800 instances, and saw 32% lower runtime for simulation workloads, helping the team release products ahead of schedule.
