Anhanguera is one of Brazil’s largest universities, serving over 500,000 students across more than 70 campuses. The university struggled to reliably deliver Moodle and other e-learning applications— which receive millions of hits per week—using its on-premises data center as demand grew rapidly.

Working with APN partner Dedalus, Anhanguera migrated Moodle and key systems to AWS, using an Amazon VPC, Amazon DynamoDB for fast content retrieval, and Amazon RDS with Multi‑AZ for failover. The move improved reliability and scalability, drove significant cost reductions (eliminating capital expenditure), boosted end‑user confidence, and set the stage for further use of Glacier, CloudFront, and other AWS services.
