AEG, the global sports and entertainment owner behind venues like the Staples Center, needed a centralized intranet so staff could find people, forms, and documents quickly without chasing multiple internal sites, emails, or phone calls. Remote access and document versioning were pain points, so AEG engaged Huddle Group and chose AWS to provide the scalability and flexible capacity required for a worldwide workforce of about 10,000.

Huddle Group deployed a SharePoint-based portal on AWS using an Amazon VPC with EC2 instances, S3/EBS storage, CloudFront for video streaming, and CloudWatch monitoring. The site scaled rapidly for a global launch—spinning up additional instances in minutes—and delivered 99% availability for up to 10,000 users, with an easy 30% capacity increase pre-launch. The move sped time to market, simplified provisioning, and set the foundation for future versioning and multi‑AZ redundancy.
