A Amazon Web Services Case Study
A+E Networks was modernizing its legacy database environment and wanted to move toward cloud-native, microservices-based applications. Working with Amazon Web Services, the company adopted serverless AWS databases and services to support new apps and reduce the burden of managing infrastructure.
Amazon Web Services helped A+E Networks build applications on serverless Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon ElastiCache, and AWS Lambda, including its internal Access app. The new approach improved time to market, enabled faster releases in minutes instead of hours, and made disaster-recovery testing quicker; A+E also said first release for Access arrived in about 6 months, and that the solution was far cheaper and more practical than an on-premises build.
