Achieved licensing costs reduction, improved performance, operability, and development speed

At Home, one of Japan’s largest real estate information providers, needed a faster and more flexible IT strategy to support its website and smartphone app as property listings and demand grew. The company faced scalability limits and wasteful on-premises resource sizing, especially in its database environment, and turned to Amazon Web Services, including Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, to modernize its infrastructure.

Amazon Web Services helped At Home migrate applications and move its database from Oracle RAC to Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL in a short time frame. The migration significantly improved performance, operability, and development speed while reducing costs; At Home also reported that cloud resources could be provisioned only as needed, eliminating more than half of the waste seen in peak-capacity on-premises planning.
