4bill, a Ukraine-based business-to-business payment service provider, was struggling to handle traffic spikes as its customer base grew, causing payment delays and poor latency for retail customers. To improve scalability and reliability, 4bill worked with Amazon Web Services to modernize its payment infrastructure and support higher transaction volumes.

Using Amazon Web Services, 4bill migrated its payment gateway and database services to scalable cloud tools including Amazon Aurora and Amazon EKS, with AWS Database Migration Service helping speed the move. The result was a more secure, resilient payment platform that tripled its customer base and raised successful first-attempt online payment completion from 87% to 98%, while also enabling 10 new services and three new payment methods in development.
