Silver Style Studios, a Berlin‑based game developer, needed a global, scalable, and secure cloud platform to launch its browser‑based MMORPG The Dark Eye — Herokon Online and to support its in‑house LightStream engine. To meet those requirements they moved to AWS and used services including Amazon SES to handle email alongside the broader AWS infrastructure.

Using Amazon Web Services—Amazon EC2 with Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon S3 and CloudFront for assets, Amazon RDS for persistent data, Route 53, CloudWatch, IAM and Amazon SES—Silver Style built a resilient, worldwide architecture. The deployment delivered 99% availability, eliminated new hardware purchases, lowered operational costs with consumption‑based pricing, and gave the studio flexible scaling and improved data security.
