A Amazon SES Case Study
Ramco Systems, a global ERP provider serving more than 1,000 companies across 35 countries, needed a faster, more cost-effective way to provision servers and meet backup and disaster recovery SLAs. The company also wanted to move away from the expense and complexity of running its own data center while improving availability, resiliency, and security. Amazon SES was among the AWS services used, along with other AWS infrastructure tools.
Ramco Systems implemented AWS, using services such as Amazon EC2 Reserved Instances, Amazon EBS, Amazon S3, Amazon Route 53, AWS Direct Connect, Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon VPC, Amazon SES, and Amazon CloudWatch to run and manage its environment. With Amazon SES and the broader AWS platform, Ramco was able to improve disaster recovery, use S3 for backups and archives, and scale on demand. The move to AWS cut capital and operating expenditures by more than 40% and reduced server provisioning time by over 80%.
