Case Study: Qlik achieves rapid SaaS launch and global user growth with Amazon SES

A Amazon SES Case Study

Preview of the Qlik Case Study

Qlik - Customer Case Study

Qlik, a global leader in visual analytics, needed to turn Qlik Sense into a cloud-based SaaS offering that could be delivered quickly, support multitenant scalability, and offer flexible subscription and pricing options for customers in 100+ countries. To build Qlik Sense Cloud the company adopted AWS and leveraged multiple services — including Amazon SES — to support operations such as notifications and scalable infrastructure.

Qlik Sense Cloud was implemented on AWS with a high-availability, elastic architecture (VPC, EC2, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, and Amazon SES among others) and was developed with help from Slalom. The result: a beta released in 18 weeks, roughly 8,000 users during a six-month beta, general availability in April, and a projected 30,000–40,000 users by year end — demonstrating faster time-to-market, global reach, and automatic scalability enabled by Amazon SES and the broader AWS platform.
