Kingnet Technology - Customer Case Study

Kingnet Technology, a Shanghai-based social game developer, needed a scalable, affordable infrastructure to support international expansion and its large user base (about 30 million installations and 6 million daily active users). To meet this challenge the company turned to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and deployed Amazon EC2 — working with vendor Amazon SES (listed as the vendor) to adopt cloud-based services that could grow with their business.

Using Amazon EC2, Kingnet implemented elastic, pay-as-you-go capacity that scales up during peak gaming times and scales down during quieter periods, enabling the company to handle tremendous volume cost-effectively. The move to AWS (and engagement with Amazon SES) delivered the scalability and lower operating cost Kingnet needed and positioned the company to expand its deployment (including planned use of Amazon CloudFront) to support ongoing user growth.
