Haptik Supports 30% Monthly Increase in App Downloads Using AWS

Haptik, India’s first personal-assistant app, needed a scalable, cost-efficient infrastructure to support rapidly growing app downloads and to modernize its reminder feature from agent calls to synthesized voice. To deliver lifelike speech in multiple languages quickly, Haptik integrated Amazon Polly for text-to-speech as part of its cloud architecture.

By integrating Amazon Polly into production and running core services on AWS (including Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Amazon CloudFront, and Amazon S3 with EC2 Spot Instances), Haptik maintained a monthly user growth rate of more than 30%, reduced IT management time by 80%, cut compute costs by about 50% using EC2 Spot Instances, and achieved 99.9999% infrastructure availability—enabling continued development of new value-added services.
