Amazon Polly powers Nexmo’s next-gen text-to-speech use cases

To power a broad set of synthesized speech use cases—while meeting global language, scalability and integration requirements—Vonage chose the Amazon Polly text‑to‑speech service.

Using Amazon Polly as its core TTS engine, Vonage implemented voice broadcast, critical voice alerts, inbound call whisper and failover voice delivery for 2FA (Verify), leveraging Polly’s language coverage, SSML and per‑second billing. The solution improved 2FA conversions and business outcomes—BitQuick increased order success from 35% to 55% and doubled transaction volume in the first 60 days—while enabling scalable, global and personalized voice interactions.
