Woot.com drives new customer acquisition with Amazon Pay

Woot, the daily-deal retailer known for its active community and forum-driven engagement, needed to make account creation and checkout easier because new sign-ups are a core business metric. To reduce friction and leverage customer trust, Woot integrated Amazon Pay, a service that lets Amazon customers create a profile and check out using information already stored in their Amazon account.

By implementing Amazon Pay on Woot.com as an on-site, three-click checkout option, Woot quickly drove adoption and measurable business impact: Amazon Pay now accounts for almost a quarter of Woot’s overall revenue, nearly two-thirds of new users register with Amazon Pay, and those customers spend over 5% more per order on higher-priced items. Woot is expanding its use of Amazon Pay with A/B tests and mobile plans after seeing these strong results.
