Sony, through its PlayStation Vue streaming service, faced the challenge of making every game of the FIFA Women’s World Cup accessible to cord‑cutters and international viewers across devices and time zones. To simplify checkout and broaden reach, Sony partnered with Amazon Pay and integrated the payment solution alongside Fire TV channel availability.

Amazon Pay was integrated into PlayStation Vue (since October), and PlayStation Vue’s live channels plus a cloud‑based DVR included with every subscription were made available on Fire TV devices. The combined solution let Amazon customers easily subscribe, watch live matches, and record every game without a PlayStation console, expanding Sony’s reach to Amazon and Fire TV users and improving accessibility during a period of record viewership.
