Case Study: Shinola achieves 19% increase in mobile conversions with Amazon Pay

A Amazon Pay Case Study

Preview of the Shinola Case Study

Shinola boosts mobile conversions with Amazon Pay

Shinola, the Detroit-based maker of craftsman watches, leather goods and bicycles that aims to bring manufacturing jobs back to the city, was seeing heavy mobile research but relatively low mobile purchases. To simplify checkout and capture more mobile buyers, Shinola launched a Magento-based site and integrated Amazon Pay so shoppers could pay quickly using the card and shipping details already stored in their Amazon accounts.

By implementing Amazon Pay, Shinola removed three to four steps from the payment flow, which translated into measurable gains: mobile traffic share grew from 37% to 44% year-over-year and mobile conversions jumped 19% in the first three months after adding Amazon Pay. Nearly one in three payments on Shinola’s site now uses Amazon Pay, contributing thousands of dollars in additional revenue and stronger online conversion rates.
