Reserving.com, a Spanish travel booking site founded in 2001, wanted to grow beyond Spain and Latin America but had limited brand recognition in international markets. The company also faced a high shopping cart abandonment rate caused by long payment processes, so it looked for a faster and more trustworthy checkout experience for global shoppers.
Reserving.com implemented Amazon Pay in June 2022 to speed up checkout in a few clicks and add payment options for its web and mobile channels. With Amazon Pay, Reserving.com said it boosted reservations, increased brand recognition, and reduced incident reports; it also later added deferred payments and flexible charge, and found that it received more reservations through Amazon Pay than through other payment methods after adding deferred payments.
