Purple boosts mobile conversion with Amazon Pay enabled by Shopify

Purple, the direct-to-consumer mattress maker, faced rapid growth and a need to improve mobile checkout and scalability as demand surged. To support expansion and simplify payments, Purple built its store on Shopify and added Amazon Pay as an alternative payment option to reduce checkout friction and foster customer trust.

By integrating Amazon Pay (enabled on Shopify), Purple cut checkout inputs by at least 75% and saw Amazon Pay account for nearly one in three payments, with 44% of Amazon Pay shoppers checking out on mobile. The faster, trusted checkout reduced cart abandonment, boosted mobile conversion (with as many as 80% of customers shopping on mobile) and generated thousands of dollars in additional revenue while supporting the company’s international scaling.
