Cymax, one of North America’s largest online-only furniture retailers, needed to give customers the same seamless, trusted checkout experience they enjoyed on Amazon Marketplace. To capture the large overlap between their shoppers and Amazon customers, Cymax integrated Amazon Pay across desktop, mobile web, and mobile app, beginning in 2013, to reduce friction and boost conversions.
Amazon Pay’s integration delivered measurable results: cart share started at about 10–15% in 2013 and grew steadily, checkout with Amazon Pay is about 20 seconds faster than Cymax’s native flow, and conversion rates and repeat purchases for Amazon Pay users exceed those of native payment methods. Beyond metrics, Cymax reports higher customer satisfaction and trust from the frictionless experience provided by Amazon Pay.
