Case Study: Rothy's achieves fast, secure voice-activated ordering for eco-friendly shoes with Amazon Pay

A Amazon Pay Case Study

Preview of the Rothy’s Case Study

Amazon Pay is making it possible for you to rock Rothy’s 100% recyclable footwear simply by saying “Alexa, ask Rothy’s to buy some flats”

Rothy’s, the San Francisco direct-to-consumer shoe brand known for converting over 35 million plastic bottles into 100% recyclable footwear, sought to modernize and simplify its checkout experience to make buying and repeat shopping faster and more convenient. To do this, Rothy’s integrated Amazon Pay into its web store and launched an exclusive Alexa skill that leverages Amazon Pay for voice commerce.

Amazon Pay enabled voice-driven, secure purchases—customers can order by saying “Alexa, ask Rothy’s to buy some flats,” select design, size, and color verbally, set a four-digit access code to prevent unauthorized orders, and request shipping updates via Alexa. The Amazon Pay implementation streamlined checkout, sped up repeat purchases, and, per Rothy’s, has been a great success in making sustainable shopping quick and easy.
