Amazon Pay helps Toner Buzz attract new customers

Toner Buzz, an online retailer founded by brothers Max and Sam that sells genuine OEM ink and toner at low prices with strong customer service, wanted to attract more consumer customers during seasonal slowdowns among its business clients. To simplify checkout and tap into a trusted payment ecosystem, Toner Buzz added Amazon Pay in October 2018 so customers could use their Amazon login and stored payment information without creating a new account.

By implementing Amazon Pay, Toner Buzz grew Amazon Pay’s share of transactions from 4% to 17% between October 2018 and April 2019, tripled its number of repeat customers, and saw Amazon Pay orders deliver the highest average order value of any payment method. Toner Buzz also reported fewer refunds (zero in April 2019), reduced fraud-related vetting time from 10–20 minutes to 0–5 minutes for high-cost orders, and saved 755 person-hours cumulatively, making Amazon Pay a key part of its growth strategy.
