AWS Enables CouponBirds to Lead in e-commerce Coupons with Excellent Data Governance Architecture

CouponBirds, founded in 2015, helps shoppers find high-quality discounts and coupons from more than 30,000 merchants worldwide. As its user base and data traffic grew, the company struggled with real-time data governance, system stability during peak shopping periods, and the need for more intelligent search and personalization. To address these challenges, CouponBirds adopted AWS services including Amazon Kinesis Data Streams and Amazon Data Firehose, along with Amazon CloudSearch, Amazon Personalize, Amazon ELB, AWS Lambda, Amazon OpenSearch Service, AWS IAM, and Amazon VPC.

With AWS, CouponBirds built a more scalable, secure, and efficient data governance architecture. Amazon CloudSearch helped improve search experiences, while other AWS services supported real-time processing, load handling, and personalization. The results included a 4x improvement in data governance, a 50% reduction in data processing costs, 70% faster response to data changes, and a shortened product development cycle from 8 months to 3 months.
