BrightRoll is an independent, unified video-advertising platform that delivers programmatic video across web, mobile, and connected TV. As BrightRoll scaled to billions of ad events and petabytes of content, its previous CDN could not keep pace; the company turned to Amazon CloudFront (part of AWS) to provide the global, scalable content delivery it needed.
BrightRoll migrated to Amazon CloudFront in under two weeks and integrated it with their AWS stack to manage over 25 billion inventory requests per month and deliver nearly 3 billion video ads monthly. Using Amazon CloudFront allowed BrightRoll to scale to hundreds of petabytes per year (they delivered 23 PB in 2013 and expected to double that), maintain low-latency delivery for real-time bidding, and reduce CDN costs by at least 25% versus their previous provider.
